The Whys and Hows.

H3stuff started as an idea back in 2022, I’ve been an H3 owner for about 8 years now… like nothing else.

When I first got this truck I loved everything about it, that of course grew into a love/hate situation but I still have it so what can I say.

One of the hate parts was the lighting, it was horrible I tried silverstars and other LED bulbs but even still the spread of light was just never great or concentrated on the road.

Maybe somewhere around 2018 or so I tried printing a 3D bracket from thingster and that was a bust for sure. Later that year a small company came out with a 3D printed headlight conversion bracket that would allow us to mount a 7” round headlight onto the H3, it wasn’t perfect but it seemed like a solution.

The first pair of adapters I bought broke during installation, the second about a week after installation but that’s all we had, so a little JB weld and it was a workable solution…

Not ideal for cold Wisconsin winters but workable with JB weld patches.

A few years went by and my H3, lovingly named Rex was in a fender bender that took out my grill and passenger side headlight to the degree that no JB weld could repair.

I tried to find another adapter bracket set on the market but for the next year or so was unsuccessful at getting them in my hands and so it was back to stock for me.

Driving at night again with the H3 I felt as if I was struggling to see on the backroads, and in the city I wondered if my headlights were even on, yes I had a 52” lightbar but that’s not always a solution.

I tried and tried to figure out how to get some better custom fitted headlights, and even fog lights but the options were all few and far between and most were 3D printed - no joy for me. Then I saw that other enthusiasts were having the same issue, we wanted a better modern solution for our older discontinued rigs.

After knocking the idea around and scouring the internets for old photos of brackets and looking at home-grown solutions in, 2024 I felt it was time to take action and just see what it would take to bring some headlight brackets back to the market. I shopped the idea around to several factories and the R&D cost plus first run… just wasn’t affordable, at all.

After weeks of shopping the idea around we found a smaller factory that was willing to work with us.

A few months later and the Hummer H3 headlight and Fog light adapters were a reality once again, it took a good bit of personal seed money and some bartering as well… but we made it happen. We didn’t want to spill the beans and tell the community that this was in the works too soon in case we couldn’t make it happen, and we didn’t want to do the pre-order model because many people have already had a bad experience with “some type” of preordering and non-deliverables.

I have to thank the amazing community for having our backs and for supporting this venture, we know there is some differencing in opinions in this space, but we thought the community deserved a solid dependable solution.

My H3 was the first and oh what a difference.. like putting in contact lenses or glasses on for the first time all over again.

Every run we take all the feedback from the community and try and perfect the little things now. On our last run we increased the metal and made the headlight brackets 25% thicker - they are robust, like the truck itself.

The fog light adapters…. 1 solid piece of aluminum, no give no bend. We had some feedback that they seemed a bit unpolished and unrefined, but to us they are simple, straight forward and utilitarian like the H3 was intended to be, they won’t break.

We strive to develop new parts as time goes on and to make our parts better and more useful by engaging with our customers on a personal level and modifying parts per consumer input and demand.

Hummers slogan is “Like nothing else” and we strive to uphold that as well.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Weekend Grind – Metal Headlight Bezel Update Spent some solid time this weekend with the H3, finally getting the metal headlight bezels mounted and tuned… damn near perfect. The cutoff wheel earned its paycheck, and then we brought the truck to the shop where our designer dialed in the CAD measurements—hours of tweaks, but we got the numbers locked in. We know these metal bezels have been a long time coming. Life hit us with the need for some personal downtime, and we appreciate everyone sticking with us. Thank you. Truth is—these aren’t easy to make. We’re not stamping these with some mass-production die. We’re working with raw metal, angles, welding… old school. It would be way easier to just 3D print them. But these trucks? They deserve better. They deserve rugged. And that’s why we’re committed to doing it the hard way—the right way. If all goes well, these latest first article prototypes will go through a final test fit in the next couple weeks. After that? Full production. Thanks again for all the support. It means more than you know. – The H3Stuff Team

Hey guys, I know it’s been a while, but I wanted to give a quick update on what’s going on with h3stuff.com. We just approved the final design for the Version 2 fog light adapters. These are completely redesigned and no longer have that annoying gap—so when you install them, it’s one solid piece. The fog lights fit cleanly into the opening with no hole between the bumper and the light. Pics are included so you can check out the fitment. Also, as of today, we’re moving forward on the metal bezels. We’ve been dialing these in for about six months now, trying to get every detail right. They head back to the factory next week for one final pre-run to confirm fitment. If all goes well, they’ll hit the market in about a month. These bezels are made to fit directly over the current H3 headlight adapters, locking together into a tight, clean two-piece system. Thanks for hanging in there with us. We’ve been keeping an eye on the discussions in the other Hummer Facebook group and we’ve seen the questions—so if you’ve got more, hit us up. We’re here. We know it’s taken longer than anyone wanted. But these are solid metal parts—no shortcuts, no cheap plastic—and getting them right means rounds of revisions and a whole lot of back-and-forth with the factory. Bottom line—we’re the only ones in the world making solid metal brackets for Hummer H3 headlights and fog lights. No compromises. Built right, or not at all.

Hey everybody - just wanted to drop a brief update to tell y’all that we’re still around and are sending out products several times a week. We know there has been a slow down from us, as we had to battle some personal issues over here. The metal shrouds are still in the making, and we have a couple new products in the works. Thanks again for all of your support
